Read fault codes right in the browser
Works with cheap ELM327 adapters over USB or Bluetooth LE. You need Chrome or Edge on a computer (Windows, macOS, Linux) or on Android: the browser talks to the adapter directly, and Safari and Firefox cannot do that yet.
Plug the adapter into the OBD2 port (usually under the steering wheel), turn the ignition on, then press a button above.
On iPhone the browser has no access to adapters at all — neither Bluetooth nor USB: that is an iOS restriction, the same in Safari and in Chrome. Use the symptom, code or photo diagnosis, and to read the car use a computer with Chrome or the program for Windows or macOS.

WiFi adapters cannot work in a browser at all: a web page is not allowed to open a network socket to a device — that is a limitation of every browser, not of this site. Use the program for those — it supports WiFi adapters on Windows and on macOS alike. A K+DCAN cable is not an ELM327: it is needed for deep BMW diagnostics in the Windows program and cannot be read by a browser.
