P0107 — Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit Low Input

What it means

The voltage from the MAP sensor has dropped below the permitted threshold, which the control module reads as an implausibly low manifold pressure. Fuel calculation then goes wrong, giving hard starting, unstable idle, weak pull and possible stalling. Many vehicles fall back to a fixed substitute value and limit power.

Likely causes (most common first)

1. Open circuit or short to ground in the MAP signal wire
2. Loose or corroded sensor connector, bent terminal pins
3. Missing 5 V reference supply from the control module
4. Faulty MAP sensor
5. Vacuum hose split or completely blocked so the sensor sees no real pressure
6. Water ingress or damaged harness section near the manifold

Can you drive with it?

Only drive as far as the nearest workshop: the engine may stall and starting can become difficult.
